It’s November and the snow has begun to fall. The furnaces are working over time to keep back the chill and you’re wearing 2 pairs of socks just to keep your toes warm. Thanksgiving is right around the corner and there is no one you’d really like to spend it with. Think your destined to sit home alone this year, eating microwave turkey and watching the parades on TV? You’re not! There is another option! You should go on a cruise. Get away from the snow and the cold!

Imagine sun sparkled waters, the freedom of the open sea, and better yet all the people that feel just like you do. No more double layer of socks, no more trying to hear yourself think over the noise of your furnace. Travel to the Caribbean, the Bahamas or Mexico! Get some sun and experience a whole new world. You could even be paid for it. The beauty of a cruise vacation is that it is all inclusive. You’re not booking tons of flights, hotels and restaurants just for a single holiday. You book your cruise and it includes your meals, your rooms, your entertainment, all in one package. Some cruise lines will even book a flight for you, it’s all hassle free. You’ll be stress free and ready to really enjoy your holiday. Do you have kids and think you can’t go on a cruise because of that? That’s not true at all.

There are cruise lines that cater to families. Mum and Dad can drop the kids off to play and be able to relax and enjoy themselves in an adult oriented area. You can still enjoy a holiday with your family, but be able to have time for just you and your partner, reconnecting. It’s the best of both worlds. Whether your cold, lonely or just need some stress relief, a cruise holiday is a wonderful solution. You get to see new sights, experience new things and get to meet new people. There are so many different kinds of cruises out there, you can always find what you’re looking for. The experience of a lifetime is waiting!

I believe any job on a cruise shit would be very rewarding and fun, being that it is on a cruise ship! One job that i have personally had an experience with on a cruise shit is the role of room service. Room service on a cruise shit is almost like being a maid at a hotel, or motel.

You basically clean up after people leave their cabins, and offer certain services to member on the cruise. This job is a great one in my experience, because of all the unique and interesting people you can meet and have conversations with. On a cruise, many of the people are from different areas around the globe, so it is always a great experience learning about different cultures. I learned peoples different experiences in other places that i have never been to. This job is also amazing because you get a great feeling from helping others. Weather you’re handing out flyers, cleaning peoples rooms or bringing items and food to someones cabin, you are always in a way helping someone which feels really great. You always walk away with a great sense of pride and satisfaction. Another plus to being staff for room service aboard a cruise ship, is the obvious. You get a free cruise!!

The job is fun and most of the time entertaining, and you are getting paid for it so why not be your own boss or just read more here. You get to travel almost all over the world and have your own experiences with the people and places, so you can share your own stories with the people you meet. Now, cleaning rooms after people leave doesnt sound like very much fun, but a lot of the time it is. during the day you are always interacting with people and sometimes it get to be very tiring and you feel the need to just get away from people and have some alone time to think and take a break.

I cant think of one thing that is more time worthy than cleaning. Sometimes after someone leaves the ship you go to clean their room and find some really interesting and cool things. sometimes they will leave you a thank you note and a tip for your good service, and great people skills. Receiving a hand written note can be very satisfying and may bring you a lot of joy even if you didnt know the person very well. Any appraisal feels great when received. sometimes you also find things that passengers have accidentally left behind. the objects that they left obviously have to be returned to the person, but again, you may have the opportunity again to conversation with the people that left their stuff in their cabin.

Whether you are an experienced climber or a novice trekker, you can find the ideal adventure holiday destination in Morocco. As well as the Sahara Desert and its outlying regions, there is the Atlas mountain range and a selection of peaks that you can access. Check the grades, use a reputable company like Adventure Peaks, and prepare for the trekking experience of your life – once you’ve visited Morocco you may never look back.

The Desert

Desert walking obviously has its own challenges, not least the arid conditions and the potential danger that awaits from dehydration and heat exhaustion. For these reasons, walking through the desert itself is not often considered a good choice for trekking destination. However, around the Sahara, arguably the most famous of all deserts, lies a number of great treks and walks that you can really enjoy and benefit from.

Safety

One of the most important things to consider, especially when trekking up mountains, is your safety and health. The weather is one such consideration and while the Desert may be the first thing many of us think of when we consider the country of Morocco, it is not without its diversity in this respect. One of the most popular expeditions to the region is the winter mountaineering expedition that sees visitors taking on the largest mountain in North Africa, Mount Toubkal. Trekking the mountain out of the snowy period makes this a very different challenge so do be sure you know what kind of weather to expect before you set off.

Time Of Year

There are some great quality walks, treks, and ascents throughout the year so that you can take on any type and scale of challenge that you want in the incredible country of Morocco. Toubkal is the highest mountain and, arguably, the most famous mountain in Morocco but there are a number of mountains in the Atlas range that are measured at 4,000 metres and above. Toubkal is so popular because it is a relatively easy mountain to scale but there are many other peaks and there are various different grades to choose from at different times of year.

Toubkal

Even in Toubkal there are a number of treks that are available to choose from. You can opt for relatively simple routes to the summit or considerably more difficult. Choose the time of year, the route you take, and the method of ascent in order to ensure that you take on the mountain the way you want to. This is also how you can alter the difficulty or grade of the mountain that you climb.

Trekking In Morocco

Morocco is a diverse mixture of landscapes and, as well as the Sahara Desert there are also some incredible mountains in the shape of the Atlas Mountains. There are various mountains and peaks above the 4,000 metre level which means that you can experience the difficulty and experience that you are looking for. Whether you want to experience the culture or push yourself to the limits physically, Morocco has it all.

My home city is London, England. So much has already been said about the great city that I will probably sound as if I am repeating someone else when I talk about it. What makes London different? Everything! The vibrant colors, the mist in the air that remains after a ten minute rain shower. The smell of the Thames as you walk along embankment and look at what my great city has to offer.

The history of London alone separates it from other cities in the world. London can be dated back to Roman times, and one can even see parts of Ancient Rome in London if you know where to look. London is simply a timeless city with a lot to offer visitors and citizens alike. Some of the biggest sights to see in London are Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey and the London Eye, all located in the Westminster area. Further on down the river, the two largest attractions would be the stunning Tower Bridge and the infamous Tower of London. Both places are a must see for anyone in London. For a bit of Royal London, people should check out Buckingham Palace and watch the daily changing of the guards. This goes on daily and is a very big part of the royal culture and tradition of London. London also has fantastic museums.

The National Gallery (which is right next to the famous Trafalgar Square), and the Tate have great pieces and interesting exhibitions. The British Museum is another great museum, known for having Elgin’s Marbles and for the Rosetta Stone. The Tate Modern is another museum where one can find more modern art and exhibitions. There are many other museums and galleries around London that are also worth going to see.

Ultimately, London is a magical place in my eyes. The colors, the scents, the sounds and the names of places there bring a comfort and joy to my heart and the hearts of others who are from London. The skyline leaves an impression on the soul that cannot be reproduced. The vibrancy of the city warms the heart and welcomes you. There is no other city in the world like London.

For people who want a holiday overseas, Fort Lauderdale in South Florida is ideal. Getting to the area poses no problems are there are frequent direct flights to both Fort Lauderdale itself and to nearby Miami. What’s more, flights are often inexpensive and easy to afford. Fort Lauderdale has the obvious advantages of the sea and the sun but it can offer so much more to the discerning traveler.

What many people don’t realise is that the Fort Lauderdale area is rich in history and culture. Because of its obvious attractions, these are often overlooked in brochures and holiday reviews. To the European visitor, Fort Lauderdale is a comparatively new city and can’t compete with the ancient attractions of Greece and Italy but nevertheless it has a fascinating history and many beautiful historical homes and venues to explore. The first permanent settler arrived in Fort Lauderdale is 1897 and his home has been carefully preserved as a museum. This is just one example of the many historical sights available. As for culture, the city offers the well-known Fort Lauderdale Museum of Art, the Museum of Discovery and Science and the fabulous Broward Center for the Performing Arts which has a constant programme of ballets, concerts and shows. Fort Lauderdale even has its own art house cinema showing foreign and indie films year round. Fort Lauderdale has frequent festivals and fairs that art devoted to the arts, film and even wine and food. In recent years an exciting arts district, FAT Village, has developed and the whole Fort Lauderdale area offers regular art walks and other events.

The Las Olas Boulevard and Downtown areas are a must as most cultural activities take place here and in its surrounding parks and public areas. Fort Lauderdale is also a central location for further explorations. It’s near to Miami and its famous art deco architecture and is close too to many attractions, museums, sports venues, theatres and fairs. The Florida Keys are just a couple of hours away and its spectacular sunsets are a free and exciting daily performance. The area is known for its fine dining, the glorious weather, its beautiful beaches and its waterways. In fact, it is known as the ‘Venice of America’ but it has so much more to offer. In Fort Lauderdale you can travel along the waterways by using the famous water taxi – the only way to travel. It’s time to take another look at what Fort Lauderdale has to offer.

Camping is one thing my family and I love to do together. We live in the Northeast so we can only camp from Spring to Early fall since it gets too cold here and the camp grounds close. My favorite place is in Coatesville, PA named KOA. My parents have a trailer along with the other ‘regulars’ we go with. I prefer to sleep in a tent because in my opinion, that’s what “real” camping is all about. Our tent site is right on the Brandywine River and the views are breath taking! From atop of the campground you can see all of the green hills surrounding the area and it is beautiful. It’s a great escape from the daily hustle and bustle life around here.

There are many fun things to do while camping. One of which is kayaking. Not only is it a great workout, it’s relaxing and peaceful. Aside from Kayaking, my family and I love to just sit around the camp fire, barbecue and talk. We have shared many great memories and laughs around the camp fire and those are memories that I will carry with me for a lifetime. Most campgrounds have an itinerary of activities throughout the day, they may be painting, scavenger hunts, hay rides, and the occasional live band at the promenade. It’s great that they have these because it keeps the kids busy and gives them something to do during the day if they don’t feel like going to the pool. We spend all of the summer holidays camping; Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Labor Day. In July most of the campgrounds around this area have the theme “Christmas in July” and they decorate the campground in pretty lights and trees.

Santa normally comes around and gives the kids candy and it’s a lot of fun. Around Halloween, they have hay rides, haunted attractions and Halloween arts and crafts. Camping is something that my family and I will always treasure, it brings us together as one. We always look forward to camping season! We can’t wait for winter to be over with so we can be one with nature again.

Big enough to keep you entertained, but small enough where everyone knows your name, Wichita Falls has a plethora of activities and attractions to keep nearly everyone entertained.

Like to ride bicycles?

Stop by during August to ride in the Hotter N Hell Hundred. Meet up with thousands of other cycling enthusiasts, and push your skills in the 100 degree weather to finish the 100 mile ride through downtown, sprawling Lucy Park, and several of the outlying towns and suburbs nearby. Not quite your thing? No problem. Maybe heading to a show at either the Backdoor or Wichita Theatre. Both historic buildings put on an impressive show, with local talent. A little heavy on the musicals, but you’ll never have to worry about the variety of what’s showing. If you’re in the mood for something more mainstream, there’s always checking the show circuit at the Multi Purpose Events Center, or MPEC.

The likes of ZZ Top, Morrissey, Toby Keith, Cher and many others have performed to enthusiastic crowds, for less than you’d pay in the Metroplex. While you’re there, pick up a schedule for the Wildcats hockey team. Supporting the guys is always a good night out, and there are even chances for after game ice skating. Don’t worry if you don’t have a pair of skates, there are rentals provided ice side. Just be careful to not run over the smaller skaters out there. Downtown hosts many varied activities, with local merchants set up down Indiana and Scott Street, a lively Farmer’s Market that makes an appearance during the summer months, the Wichita Falls Art Association and the Kemp Center for the Arts. Where else can you pick up some farm grown tomatoes, browse the local art scene, and maybe take home a treasure or two all at the same time? Downtown events include the Halloween Zombie Crawl, and City Lights parade, along with occasional Culture Crawls featuring late night shopping, local music, and partying in the streets. Hungry? Stop in at Casa Manana and pick up the city’s original Red Taco. Just, don’t ask about the guarded recipe.

If tacos don’t strike you as appealing, why not try The Spot for pizza, Pelicans for steak and seafood, Hunan’s for Chinese or Pasquals for a more upscale dining experience. Wichita Falls has a wonderful selection of homegrown restaurants to satisfy even the pickiest gourmand.

Not one of your boardwalk type crowded beach with so many sights you never see the beach. The Gulf beaches that are almost deserted are the best way to enjoy the ocean and relax. Get a nice house on the ocean, fill it with family and friends and enjoy. I don’t want hundreds of people sharing my holiday. If I never leave the shore and never see another person other than those I am with, I consider it a great holiday. Walking on the beach, looking for shells, fishing and just lying on the beach enjoying the breezes are what I enjoy on a holiday. Other great beach holidays can be spent at campgrounds on the coast. Many state parks have nice campgrounds with varied levels of camping styles available from primitive sites to full electric and water for your recreational vehicle.

This can help you cut costs for your holiday. Some believe that you must go somewhere and do something else other than the beach when you are at the beach. If this is your vision of a beach holiday then head somewhere like Panama City, Florida. You will have nice beaches, extreme amounts of people and more things to do than you can imagine. A large city beach offers multiple stores to shop in, restaurants to eat at and places to play. The beach is not just for summer either.

Many happy Thanksgiving’s have been spent at the beach with family. Depending on the area, even a trip in January can be pleasant. On your more Southern beaches it can be warm and sunny even in the off season. The water will still be cold so you will not want to swim but walking and shelling will be as good as or better than the summer. You can also get deep discounts at most beaches in the off season except for Thanksgiving and Christmas weeks. Sometimes you can rent a house for a month in the off season for the same price as a week in the summer. Great if you can escape for a month. However you like to vacation, the beach is always a good choice and can be simple and relaxing or filled with activities.

There is nothing like a holiday to Disney World. Disney World is located in Orlando, Florida of the United States. There is also a version in California called Disney Land. Both are incredibly fun, family friendly amusement parks that are fit for any person of any age. There are shows, parades, fireworks and lots of rides. Although I have personally never visited to Disney Land, I have been numerous times to Disney World. I’ve visited as a child and even as an adult with a child. It is one of those special things to share with your child. I truly enjoyed watching my son’s eyes light up at some of the sites!
Let us look at the Disney World theme park in Orlando , Florida a bit more closely. The Disney World resort is centered around 4 main theme parks. Although each park requires a separate admission, purchasing a complete vacation package including hotel, park passes and a dining plan is a great option. You will save money in the long run and be able to see a great many things. You can also customize your vacation package with air fare.

The Magic Kingdom

This park is definitely the most famous of the four theme parks and probably the most famous park in the entire world. It was the original park to the Disney World Resort. The Magic Kingdom is centered around Cinderella’s castle. The iconic castle was built early in the 1900s and even featured an apartment for Walt Disney himself. In this theme park, you can expect a great variety of shows and rides. Some of the more classic rides include the Mad Tea party (otherwise known as the tea cups), Splash Mountain, Space Mountain and It’s a Small World. These rides are iconic to Disney and are definitely MUST ride attractions when visiting the area. You’ll be surprised by the magnitude of rides and shows offered at this park, which will appeal to all ages!

Epcot

Epcot is centred around a large sphere shape. The sphere is silver in colour and actually is a ride called, Spaceship Earth. The ride features a slow-moving tram that takes you up in the sphere and back down again, all while educating riders on the innovative designs that have been born on our planet. Also, in Epcot, you can visit Italy, Mexico, Canada, Norway and Germany. Walking through Epcot and it’s World Showcase, you will be able to visit small versions of each country. Pretty much every country you can imagine is featured in the World Showcase and in a very authentic way, too. Taste authentic crepes in the French pavilion and award-winning Italian food in Italy. It is truly an amazing experience! Visiting Epcot is always a whimsical journey and probably one of my favourite things about Disney.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Imagine a theme park centred around animals! You have the Animal Kingdom at Disney World. Amazing rides, including a top-rated roller coaster called Expedition Everest, and a excursion through the jungles of Africa where you can see real live animals, is all included at Animal Kingdom. Walking through Africa, you will be amazed by the local street vendors and crafts. Plus, meet a T-rex through the exciting ride, Dinosaur! Many people do not give this park the credit it deserves. Some are even disappointed with Animal Kingdom but as you visit , you will see something different each time you are there.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

This park is all about the movies! Everything from stunt shows to a Star Wars simulator ride is featured at Hollywood Studios. If you visit this park, you must ride Aerosmith’s Rockin’Roller Coaster. This was voted one of the best coasters in the world! It is truly amazing! My son and I rode it this past visit , along with the Tower of Terror. This ride is an elevator-themed ride that rises you up and then drops you down incredibly fast. Each and every time you take a trip on this ride is something new!

People save and save all year for a summer holiday vacation but many do not realize that there are so many ways to get amazing deals on trips! Some of the best deals are just a few clicks of the mouse or even a phone call or two. You will never book travel arrangements the same way once you hear some of these tips!

First, book at the last minute. Most people book an entire year in advance. What they do not realize is this is making you pay full price for something. Sometimes, you will end up pay more than the regular full price. When vacation home-owners or hotel managers do not fill up their rentals or hotel rooms, they will offer massive discounts at the last minute. Look for these deals about two weeks before you intended holiday trip. Start calling the hotels or emailing the vacation rental landlords two weeks prior. Ask if they are offering any last minute deals or specials. Of course, not everyone will have space available so there is no guarantee that you will get to stay in that particular place. It is a real gamble but remember that it could pay off greatly.

Second, are you AAA members? Did you know that AAA offers huge discounts on amusement park tickets and hotels? If you did not know this, now you do! Look on their website for special deals. Not only can you book ahead of time and still get a great discount, you can also book last minute to get the deals, too. Although being a AAA member does cost a yearly fee, the benefits are definitely worth it. If you are not a AAA member yet, visit their website to learn more about their various benefits and offers.
Third, instead of booking a hotel, why not visit a rental website. Many times, homeowners will rent out their vacation homes on the weeks they can’t visit. Sometimes, you can find really great deals on sites like VRBO or even Craigslist. Just remember to email them, and ask them if they are offering any special deals right now. If you wait until last minute, you may or may not be able to get a deal. It does not hurt to try.

Lastly, if you are staying some place with a kitchen or grill area, why avoid all those fancy touristy restaurant and cook some things where you are staying. Are you heading to the beach? Take some time do some fishing and grill on the beach, if allowed, and enjoy some incredibly fresh seafood? Staying in the mountains? Be sure to pick up a nice steak to throw on the grill. Of course, you do not have to do this for EVERY meal, but cutting out some restaurant trips will help you save a lot!

All in all, taking the time to do some research before your trip is really wise.

Ask questions and ask for deals!

Most people will be glad to give you some deals in the hopes of future business.
